OHS Policy
Expert Marine Services consider Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) to be a core value in all its operations. Throughout our ship yard, OHS is promoted under the strap-line "Safety is our Highest Priority".
Expert Marine Services has an OHS Team led by top-level management, supported by external consultants, which is dedicated to striving towards OHS excellence in the group.
Each of our yards have quality, safety and environment systems based on ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Management, OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety and EMS 14001:2004 for Environmental Management.
With a strong ground on our health & safety, we meet our customer requirements with reliability and commitment.
We also provide resources to meet the intended needs in a timely manner. We ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, legal and other requirements and take care to prevent injury & ill health of our employees, contractors and other persons who may be affected by our activities.
Expert United Marine Services Shipyards is totally committed to maintain its OHS management system and it is mandatory that all employees accept this responsibility and comply with the specified system requirements. All employees should perform their assigned work in accordance with OHS company procedures and its OHS policies. This extends to all levels of Management and Supervision.
This is made known to all employees through the company’s induction program, individual distribution, and prominent display on the company’s notice boards. The message is also emphasized during all our internal training programs on a regular basis.
